APRIL FOOLS – Former Denver Donkeys and current New York Biplanes quarterback Jim Jebow isn’t leaving Colorado quietly.

The devoutly religious “passer” is launching a campaign to change Glenwood Springs High School’s Demon mascot to something more wholesome.

“First and foremost, I’d like to thank my lord and savior, Jesus Christ,” Jebow said. “Second, I don’t think ‘Demon’ sends the right message to the students of Glenwood Springs High School.”

Jebow said he also wouldn’t mind seeing nearby Eagle Valley High School drop its Devil moniker, either.

What are some alternate names Jebow would like to see? “I don’t know. How about the Mannings or Elways?” he said. “Both are pretty much synonymous with the devil, anyway.”

Jebow, who led the Donkeys to the NFL playoffs for the first time in six years this past season, was traded from the Donkeys to the Biplanes on March 21.
