Ramona Celia Matlock

Ramona Celia Matlock, 62, passed away Feb. 1 at her home in Glenwood Springs.She was born Nov. 7, 1943, in Espanola, N.M., to Joseph and Bessie (Martinez) Romero. Ramona moved to Colorado at a very early age, and lived here her entire life.Ramona married Donald K. Matlock March 26, 1977, in Glenwood Springs, and they had three children. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a retired postmaster. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. She was a member of St. Anne’s Church in Grand Lake.Ramona is survived by her husband; son James Joseph Matlock, of Fort Collins; daughters Dawn Michelle Matlock, of Idaho Springs, and Trudy Ann Matlock, of Denver; brother Joseph (Kay) Romero; and sister Marie (Paul) Frey, of Grand Junction. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Loretta Jackson.Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 1885 Blake Ave., Glenwood Springs, with Father Cliff McMillan officiating.Farnum-Holt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
