Ray James ‘Grandpa Ray’ Clark

Ray J. Clark passed away on Oct. 24, 2010 at the Colorado State Veterans Nursing home in Rifle. He was 93.

Ray was born in Winder, Idaho on June 22, 1917. He married Barbara Smith on Feb. 12, 1943. Ray served in the U.S. Army and the United States Air Force during WWII and the Korean War.

Ray and Barbara moved to Colorado to be near their son and family in 2004.



Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, and his six siblings.

He is survived by his only son, Ray (Merrilee) Clark; grandchildren, Kari (Scott) Strobel,



Holly (Michael) Pagan, and great-grand children, Bailey, Britin, Zachary and Austin, all of Basalt.

A memorial service will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
