Raymond (Ray) H. Wall of New Castle died at Grace Healthcare in Glenwood Springs on December 11th. He was born on June 19, 1934 in Lustre, Montana, to John and Katharina (Fast) Wall. He was the youngest of four children. On March 24, 1959, he married Jean Neperud in Vancouver, Washington, living a very adventurous life in Oregon, California, and Colorado for 51 years. Having four sons together. Michael and wife Cherri of Greeley and Rifle, R. Dean of New Castle, Kenneth of Grand Junction, and James of New Castle, three grandchildren and one great-grandson. Ray was a career Master tool and cutter grinder. For twenty plus years beginning in 1985, Ray owned and operated The Sharper Edge sharpening service in downtown New Castle. He previously owned and operated R&J Grinding in Idaho Springs. He is known well by many in the Roaring Fork valley and western Colorado, with customers from all over the state. Family, friends and previous customers are invited to an informal reception and celebration of his life to be held at 141 North C Avenue in New Castle on December 28th from 2 to 5 PM.
