Re-2 staff ‘let hair down’ at dinner
Re-2 director of districtwide services
The annual Garfield Re-2 Hootenanny and Retirement dinner took place Friday, April 30, at the Two Rivers Convention Center.
This year’s ceremony honored 12 retirees: Randy Hesselberg, Eldon White, Chris Pearson, Bruce Gallagher, Jane Jones, Lorraine McNeal, Joy Klein, Sandra Burwell, Linda Olson, Carole Barnett, Delaine McBride and Jan Bennett. Their contributions to the children of Garfield Re-2 can never truly be quantified, and they will all be missed when the first bell rings next school year.
Re-2 Board President Vicki VanEngelenburg presented Tracy Peterson, Anne Guettler and Marla Nelson with the Volunteer of the Year award.
“It’s fun to spend an evening with colleagues and just let our hair down,” said Highland academic coach Amy Spradlin.
“Each year the festivities get better and better.”
Corporate donations specifically for district celebrations made the event possible.
