Readers Say Thanks
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
The Frank McGhee family of Oklahoma would like to express a very big thanks and appreciation to emergency crews that responded to our emergency on Aug. 18.
Burning Mountains Fire Department, Garfield Search and Rescue and the Garfield County Sheriff’s Department responded quickly and with compassion for myself and my son.
When my brother, Tom McGhee, died suddenly while hiking in the mountains high above East Elk Creek, we were overwhelmed with the problem of how we would transport him out of the mountains. Many volunteers gave up their Saturday to bring their equipment and expertise to help.
The coordinated response of these groups handled a difficult situation with respect for my brother and consideration for my son and me. Our heartfelt thanks to these people who gave of themselves to help us.
