Post Independent
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

I just wanted to extend a note of thanks to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent and all the staff for putting such a wonderful article about our club, the Mt. Sopris Recreational Riders. The Post over the years has done several feature articles about our club as far back as 1989 when Gov. Roy Romer dedicated our Sunlight to Powderhorn Trail.

Those members who were able to be a part of April Clark and Kelley Cox’s day enjoyed their company immensely. It is hard to explain but it is very gratifying to us outdoor enthusiasts to be able to take people, especially new to the sport entirely, on an adventure. An adventure that allows them to access the vast beauty of our national forests and see with their own eyes the appreciation we hold for this land of ours.

This Sunlight to Powderhorn trail system, comprising 120 plus miles, was created by the community for the community. As members know we have a monthly seasonal article in the SnoScoop for the Colorado Snowmobile Association. The last article is on our website and you can check it out in its entirety at

Thank you again Glenwood Springs Post Independent, we hope to see again soon.
