Readers Say Thanks

Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

The organizers of the 2008 Tater/Fossil Trot and its beneficiaries, senior housing and Carbondale Youth Soccer Club, wish to thank all who made the event a huge success. We would first like to thank our sponsors, Earthworks, Western Slope Aggregates, Crystal Springs Builders, T.J. Concrete, Roaring Fork Valley Coop, Valley Lumber, Mountain Pest Control, B&H Contractors, Roaring Fork Family Physicians, Handcrafted Carpets, Independent Run and Hike, town of Carbondale, and Red Rock Diner for financial backing and continued support. Next, the event would like to thank the many businesses in town who contributed prizes and gift certificates to the post-race raffle. A special thanks to these folks because they also contribute to the Potato Day general fund. Special thanks to the many volunteers who make the event happen. Race marshals, sign-up crew, refreshment crew, timers, John Salameda at the Shirt Stop and Jenny Tempest for a spectacular T-shirt design. These folks freely give their time to make the race a huge success. Lastly, thanks to the participants who made up the field of the one-mile and 5K run. We were blessed with faithful runners on a rain-free day which was perfect for running. Once again, it was a fine event with great community support. Bob Olenick and Jerilyn Nieslanik, co-bosses 2008 Tater/Fossil Trot
