Readers say thanks

Emma Jean came home late Thursday night. Someone actually picked her up in Carbondale on the first day we lost her, 9/25, and took her home to Rifle. Go figure. We are just so thankful she is home safe and sound.

A special thanks to Andrea Palm Porter and Kay Vasilakis at the Glenwood Springs Post Independent. After receiving my e-mail, they got a photo of Emma in the paper. This picture was spotted by the parents of the couple who had taken our dog. It sounds like there was major persuasion from the parents to hand over the dog to her rightful owners. We might not have Emma now, if it was not for your help, as I was definitely not covering the Rifle area on my flyer sweep.

It is at times like this, I am reminded once again, what an amazing community we live in. Thanks so much to all of you for getting the word out.

Erin and Craig Rigney
