Light Up Carbondale has come and gone, but the memories and our wonderful lights, are still with us. Last Friday night was indeed magical, but magic doesnt happen without a lot of teamwork and there are indeed many people who made this magic happen. The list of those who made this night possible is long, as it always is when our town gets together. Heartfelt thanks to the town of Carbondale and Chris Loertscher, Eric Brendlinger, Jesse Rochel, Larry Ballenger and Tony Coia; Vicki and Chris Peterson and Ace Hardware for the popcorn wagon; Jane and Dick Hart and Gary and Joann Brown, whose help I could not have done without. Thank you, Jane Bachrach, star photographer; Jody Ensign; and a special thanks to Holly Gressett, my incomparable office manager. Crystal River Elementary School and Ross Montessori School did an amazing job on the tree ornaments and the Carbondale Middle School produced amazing Christmas cards, which are on sale at Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities and some local merchants. If I missed anyone, please forgive me. It was truly a splendid evening and thank you, one and all.Ro Mead, directorCarbondale Council on Arts and Humanities
