I would like to thank several people, starting with Rifle Rescue.

On March 19th, I had a very bad heart attack, and Rifle Rescue was called. They got to my home within five minutes, and did a wonderful job in getting me stable and to the Grand River Medical Center, which was also great to me and my family.

The Flight for Life crew and St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction did great, too.

Most of all, I would like to thank my granddaughter, Aria Troupe, of Silt, who happened to be at my house and dialed 911 because I could not. She talked to the dispatcher and did everything she was told. During the whole ordeal, she was totally calm and did a wonderful job. Because of Aria, I am alive today, and she is only 11 years old. Most adults would not have stayed so calm.

Thank you, Aria, I love you lots. Your PaPa.
