Garfield County Seniors would like to extend a great big thank-you to the organizers and crew at the 2009 Rifle Air Show.

With help from Mike Ballard, airfield manager; Marie George, Rifle Senior Center director; Mildred Alsdorf, Traveler director and Rich Burns, Traveler assistant director, 30 seniors were able to attend this wonderful event.

These show visitors were treated to front row parking, seating in the “VIP” area, a beautiful lunch provided by Creekbend at the Midland, plus two golf carts for transport to distant booths. Garfield Seniors returned home tired but thrilled having seen an excellent show and been treated like royalty.

Thank you to all involved, everyone had a great time.

On behalf of Parachute/Battlement Mesa, Rifle, Silt, New Castle, Glenwood Springs and Carbondale area seniors.

Bob Shivley
