Readers Say Thanks

Post Independent
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

The Glenwood Springs High School cross country team would like to extend our thanks to our community.

Thank you to Sunlight Mountain for allowing us to host our team camp at your resort this year and in previous years as well. Thank you to Brion and Independence Run and Hike for our fitting night, and discounts towards shoes and gear.

Thanks to Paul Salmen, Nancy Reinisch, Mike Wells, Craig Amichaux and Darrell Stanley for all your help to make our Demon 5K fundraising race such a success. Thanks also to the 50-plus runners who supported our team by running our race.

We appreciate all the support from our high school administration: Craig Denney, Gayla Rowe, Terease Juhl and Paul Freeman. You enable us to make a difference in the lives of all our student athletes.

Last, we extend our gracious thanks to our cross country parents. Thank you for coming early and staying late to help us with our home meet. We couldn’t have run our home meet without you, and we truly appreciate your willingness to volunteer, and help our team in so many ways.

Roaring Fork High School’s boys golf team would like to express our sincere appreciation to River Valley Ranch for continuing to allow us to practice at their facility. The use of their driving range, putting green and the course itself allows us access to one of the best golf courses in Colorado. We are able to practice at this location, which is within walking distance from our high school, and RVR also allows us to host an annual high school tournament. Thank you to Zac Ray, Devon, Andi and the rest of the RVR. Without your generous support we would not have the opportunity to have a golf team at Roaring Fork High School.

Sincerely,

Larry Williams and the RFHS golf team
