The staff and animals at Rock Bottom Ranch would like to express a huge thank you to the community, volunteers, and sponsors who made our 8th annual Harvest Party last Saturday a grand ol’ time!

More than 400 people attended this year’s event, carving over 300 pumpkins, pressing many gallons of apple cider, taking rides on ponies and draft horses alike, and visiting all the farmyard animals.

A special thanks to our sponsors who helped to make the event possible. Our sponsors included the Governor’s Energy Office, the Hell Roaring String Band for keeping everyone’s heads bobbing, Big Mama’s Catering for preparing delicious local food from Milagro Ranch and Louis Swiss Pastry, Jeff White with Aspen Kettle Corn, Sandy with Aspen Carriage and Sleigh for the pony and hay wagon rides, Basalt High School for the use of their parking lot, and the Waldorf School for giving us the use of their buses and parking area. Without you, the Harvest Party would not be possible!

We are thankful for all of our volunteers including Shawn Polen, Andrea Marsh, Kat Rich, Chris and George Halsey, Lindsay Reither, Aaron Taylor, Sarah Meserve, the Spayd family, Eden Vardy, Chris Carnevale, Tikla and Teale Blankenship, Mike and Nick from CRMPI, Mary Watson, and Sarah D. You made the event a great success!

Thank you to all the families who contributed at the door, the folks who became Rock Bottom Ranch members and to our sponsors; we greatly appreciate your support. These funds allow Rock Bottom Ranch to continue to provide environmental education programs for local schools, children and adults valley wide. We are truly grateful for the amazing community of the Roaring Fork Valley.
