Readers Say Thanks
This special time of year offers us all the opportunity to be grateful for our many blessings and to thank those people in our lives that support us. As physicians (along with Ann Curtis, our CNM) who practice both in our office and in the hospital, we are supported by literally hundreds of talented, caring, skilled professionals at Valley View Hospital. Each staff member at the hospital has a role to play in helping us do our best to care for our patients and who also have their own important role in that care. We want to recognize and thank all of you publicly for the fantastic job you do all year long, 24/7/365!We work every day, side by side, with the great nurses on Family Birth Place, Acute Care, Special Procedures and Surgery/Day Surgery/Recovery. We depend on the clinical skills of the pharmacists, medical and radiology technologists, physical and respiratory therapists for our moms, babies and surgery patients. Complementary Medicine and HMR offer special services our patients’ value. Our beautiful hospital and grounds are kept clean and safe by housekeeping and maintenance staff. Our patients and their families, we and our own office staff are well fed with the delicious meals prepared by the Food Service staff. Our clinical safety net is the ER and ICU, staffed by critical care experts who we depend on around the clock. We work directly with wonderful staff at Eagle, Silt and Willits clinics. Dr. Jill Kingston and the certified nurse midwives at A Woman’s Place are our closest allies in providing obstetric care to so many of the women in our river valley communities. There are many behind-the-scenes staff members who keep systems, supplies, equipment and procedures running to support safe and effective patient care – Health Information Management (Medical Records), IT, Business office, Patient Registration, Fiscal & Accounting, Performance Improvement and Risk Management, Infection Control, Community Relations, Materials Management, Auxiliary Volunteers and Medical Staff Services (Go, Libby!). Leading this cadre of dedicated staff is Gary Brewer and the Administrative and Management Team of the hospital – with the vision to build and grow a top notch regional medical community, in partnership with our exceptional Medical Staff colleagues in primary and specialty care. Last, but not least, what would we do without our Valet service – their friendly greetings, alone, help us get through the day!A “thank you” at year end is hardly enough to recognize all that you do for us and for our patients every day, all day and night, dear Valley View Hospital staff. We are very clear we could not do our job without each of doing your job so well.Best Wishes for 2010,Drs. LeAnn Kocher, Cindy Hall, Jim O’Donnell, and Dana Dwyer – Women’s Health Associates, PC
