We had some furnace problems a little while ago. After several failed attempts by other heating and cooling companies we were recommended A-1 Heating & Air located in Rifle. Called the company and co-owner Brad Church was most helpful trying to resolve our problem explained (I’m sure, poorly) by me. After my futile attempt of repairing the furnace I called back and Mr. Church suggested that one of his service men – Mike Ogden – would come to our house and would take a look at the unit.Mr. Ogden was very, very prompt, courteous and more importantly very knowledgeable about pinpointing our problem. He ordered the appropriate part, installed it and we had heat in our house once again. We would like to thank and highly recommend A-1 Heating for the best service we could have hoped.Erin and Steve FulekiSilt

We are still overwhelmed from the way this valley rallies for its own. As co-chairs at the Jumpin’ Jive for Jeanette benefit held Saturday, March 28, we were awed and humbled by the outpouring of love, support and donations we received at the door, from the silent and live auctions to the volunteer bartenders (Connie Cline, Christi Hassan, Pixie Morin, Patti Boas, Kathy Thissen, Kenny Ogden, Marla Hemby, Terry/Erin Galbreath, Kathy Gannon, Vern Simonton, Patti Grace, Rick Wernsman) who donated all of their tips from the evening. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to so many people, but let’s start with Kurt Fischer of Beau Jo’s Buffalo Valley Sports Bar and Grill who from the very beginning stated “not only can you have the benefit here, but what can we do to help and how can we pitch in.”On benefit day, when catered food started to run low he gave all his salmon to be smoked, and baked and provided 70 pizzas for the attendees. Beau Jo’s also provided drink and room specials specifically for the benefit. Fantastic Food was provided by Fin’s Raw Bar & Grille, 19th Street Diner, Rivers restaurant, The Bayou, Bruce Imig, Buck Williams, Phil Long, Noble Yeoman, Joy Long and Cathy Wood. Ham DuBois with Innermountain Distributing donated all the paper products. We would also like to send extra thanks to Harley Stumbaugh of Harleywood Productions for the amazing musical lineup, as well as the poster design. The following musicians donated their time and talents: Attitude Control, The Whittingtons, Three Legged Dog, Jimmy Ibbotson, The Rock Dogs, Steve Skinner’s Stimulus Package, Bobby Mason & Friends, Big Daddy Lee and the Kingbees, The Dags, Harleywood, plus guest musicians, Randy Wentworth, Lester Rogers, Tom Hills, Mark Dempsey and Darin Elwell. The following Individuals and businesses donated items for the silent and live auctions: B.P.O.E. #2286, 7th Street Salon, Alpine Bank, Animal Touch, Anna Bernstein DC, Anna Mae Williams, Apex Security Group, Aspen Glen Club, Aspen Snowmass-Aspen Skiing Group, Aspen Valley Harley Davidson, Back Door Consignments, Band of Heathens, Battlement Mesa Golf Club, Betsy Bingham-Johns, Big Daddy Lee Hollowell, Big John’s Building & Home Center, Buffalo Valley Motel, Carol Way-Schneider, Cathy Chase, Character Builders, Cosmo’s Hair Design, Creekside Hair & Skin, Crystal Fly Shop, Dapper Doggie Doos LLC, Drs.
