Working as a committee is easy, when one has the cooperation of those involved. Erin, Gretchenn and I had this dealing with most facets of food and its trimmings to create a fantastic communitywide 125th Celebration Picnic in Glenwood Springs at Two Rivers Park.

We serviced several attendees, and were off to a rip roarin’ start. Unfortunately Mother Nature had a different idea concerning the day’s agenda. I wish we could have continued our service; however, the wind and storm prohibited the progress of the food lineup.

I do intend taking service forward to Aug. 25, which is the anniversary date.

We wish to extend our thank-you and deep appreciation to all who helped us give further special meaning to the Fourth of July, and a celebration of 125 years for Glenwood Springs.
