I am writing this letter to the Cheerleaders of Roaring Fork High School, mostly to thank the coaches and directors making it possible to have this great program in our valley. All of us in the community, especially the football fans, players and parents greatly and auspiciously congratulate you on your previous success and your future triumphs. And with all of our gratitude we thank you for inspiring a fun way to watch high school sporting events. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that made our benefit possible and a success. We would like to express our sincere appreciation and thankfulness to Rod, Ava Cogburn and their family. This is a family that gives with no expectations, they give so unconditionally. This family has dedicated so much time and worked many, many hours to make the benefit successful. They as a family work like no other. Would like to say Thank you Grady Hazelton owner of WingNutz, for donating his business, staff and food. They also were open for business during our event. Awesome job staff team, you were great. Ava made sure that we had everything that was needed, we had entertainment, a silent auction and the opportunity to visit with friends and family. Thank you to all that donated items for our silent auction; To all that were not able to be there but put Roy and his family in your prayers and thoughts; and to everyone that donated money to help with medical expenses. A huge thank you to Jim Shrull for donating his time to us.We were also blessed by the Cogburns as they flew us here so that we could be part of this special event. This meant the world to Roy. I’m sure this is just what the doctor ordered for him to be able to see the love and support of our hometown community. Hats off to the Rifle community and surrounding areas. You can still make donations to RDF to Shara Leech, 2676 Applewood Place, Grand Junction, 81506 or 970-256-9292.Sincere thank you to all, Roy Deshazer and Family
