Congratulations to the volunteer firefighters of Burning Mountains Fire Protection District, you really did it this time. Thank you for hosting such a wonderful community event last Saturday in Silt – the pig roast. Good food, great music, a silent auction and it was more than just that. I’m very impressed to see what all you do for our community. I know behind the scenes it took more than just you, so I also want to thank any of your sponsors and contributors because I know without their support an event like this wouldn’t be possible. The first annual Aug. 21 New Castle School Drive/Clothing Swap was a great success. We helped meet the needs of many students.
