We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with the fundraiser “For Ella,” on Sept. 11. Thank you to Blake and Stubbies for letting us use their location and for donating the proceeds from the specials they sold. Thanks to Ric Rock & the Roosters, and to King Hippo. You both had the place rockin’. Thank you to all who attended, to the volunteers who gathered prizes and worked this event. We couldn’t have done it without you. Most of all we would like to thank the local businesses who donated prizes to help make this fundraiser a success. The Aulik family is overwhelmed with the support they have received from our community. Donations are still being accepted at any U.S. Bank in the name of Ella Jade Aulik.Carol Fabian and Vicki BayleyCarbondale
The Glenwood Springs High School Mock Trial team would like to express its thanks to John Pataky, owner of Rosi’s Bavarian Restaurant, for donating a large quantity of pretzels for the team to sell at the recent Oktoberfest in downtown Glenwood Springs. Thanks to John’s generosity the team was able to raise a significant amount of money at the event. The team is also grateful to the dedicated ladies who run and organize Glenwood’s Downtown Market for donating the canopy and event space. The proceeds will help defer travel expenses to New York City, where the 10-member Mock Trial team will compete in the Empire Tournament in mid-October, an invitation-only event that includes top national and international teams.
