The staff and students of Sopris Elementary School would like thank Jay Mencimer and the crews at Mr. Vac for extracting 3,500 square feet of carpet in our gymnasium and music room free of charge over the Thanksgiving break. We are grateful for your commitment and support to our community of learners.Kathy Whiting, principalSopris Elementary SchoolGlenwood Springs

The third annual Silt Area Chamber of Commerce event, Giving Thanks for Our Seniors, was a huge success. We are so grateful to have these wonderful historians to share a Thanksgiving Day meal with. Along with this, we were able to share gently used coats. We would like to thank the donors that make this all possible: Antero Resources, Bill Barrett Corp., Cheryl & Co. Real Estate, Canyon Cleaners, Encana, Williams, and Suki Self. Without these donors, none of this would be possible. Many thanks to the Mamm Creek 4-H Club for their help. We are ready for the Saturday before Thanksgiving next year for a repeat and hope for better weather.Cheryl Chandler, committee chairGiving Thanks for our SeniorsSilt
