Thanks to Dr. Peter Langegger of Divide Creek Animal Hospital and to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Department for providing low-cost pet vaccinations on Dec. 31.
Dr. Langegger, his staff and the sheriff’s department staff worked nonstop to provide this fantastic opportunity. Well done!
In more than 20 years of recycling my metal in the valley, I was shocked at the generous amount of money I received from New Generation Recycling for unloading what I would characterize as a small amount of metal.
They carefully weighed each category of metal, whereupon I could only regret the amount of money I had given other recyclers purely for the convenience of “just getting rid of it.”
Their ad in the Post Independent made it all happen.
KDNK would like to thank the Aspen Community Foundation for teaming up with our annual fund contributors to help us raise more than $10,000. The matching funds offered by the Aspen Community Foundation were instrumental to our success.
KDNK’s mission is to provide public access radio that connects community members to one another and the world. Broad support from members, businesses, foundations and individuals allow us to serve the entire valley.
KDNK would also like to thank the Aspen Thrift Store, the city of Aspen and Pitkin County for continued funding and recognizing the importance and vitality of KDNK Community Radio.

The Hotel Colorado would like to thank everyone who participated in the first holiday tree display, which began on Friday, Nov. 25, and ran through the holiday season.
Many community businesses and organizations took a lot of time and energy to decorate a tree depicting what they represent. Throughout the holiday season, many community members came in and voted on their personal favorite.
We are excited to congratulate Downtown Drug as the winner. The top five decorated trees were as follows:
First: Downtown Drug
Second: a tie between Doc Holliday’s Saloon and Once Upon A Child
Third: Salvation Army
Fourth: Colorado Animal Rescue
Fifth: Bishop Plumbing and Heating
