Despite the national trends, Garfield County home sales and prices continue to remain strong. The total number of real estate transactions in Garfield County are up by 8.22% from 2006. Garfield County has recorded 2001 transactions through August 2007, versus 1849 transactions through August of 2006. Through August of 2007 Glenwood Springs has 454 transactions, with an average residential sales price of $425,400. Carbondale has 426 transactions, with an average price of $689,985. New Castle shows 371 transactions, with an average price of $322,550. Silt has 162 transactions year to date, with an average sales price of $340,942. Rifle is showing 334 transactions with an average sales price of $288,524. Battlement Mesa has 101 transactions with an average sales price of $237,600, and Parachute with 130 transactions and an average sales price of $243,182.
