Real estate market shows some improvement in July

July real estate transactions for Garfield County totaled 64 transactions and $24.8 million dollars.

Glenwood Springs led the county in both dollars and transactions reporting 15 transactions and $8.6 million in dollar volume.

New Castle followed Glenwood with 13 transactions, and Battlement reported 10 transactions.

Each of these areas posted increases over June with regard to number of transactions.

Carbondale reported 10 transactions for July; Rifle posted 7, Silt 6, and Parachute 2. These areas either declined slightly or stayed the same from June’s numbers.

Carbondale was actually second to Glenwood with regard to dollar volume and reported $5.5 million, New Castle had $3.7 million, Silt had $2.3 million, and Battlement posted an increase over June up to $2.3 million. Rifle and Parachute rounded out the county with $1.9 million and $410,000, respectively.

Through the month of July, there have been 342 transactions in the county reporting a dollar volume of $131 million dollars.
