Reception for Glenwood’s 4th annual Earth Day Art Show to be held tonight

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” The works of 40 area artists will be featured in the 4th annual Earth Day Art Show, a benefit for the Aspen Valley Land Trust and a celebration of Earth Day. The show will be held at 801 Grand Ave., Glenwood Springs, in the new offices of the Aspen Community Foundation. An opening reception will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. tonight.

The show will include paintings by Dan Sprick, Mary Noone, Dan Young, Doug Arneson, Marcia Fusaro and other well-known artists. Three dimensional work by Greg Tonozzi, Leo Johnson, Stephen Bersheny and Amber Sparkles will be featured along with photography, recycled jewelry and sculptures. The artwork will depict the area’s natural beauty and reflect on the importance of conserving open spaces.

Half of all proceeds will benefit the Aspen Valley Land Trust, a non-profit which works with landowners to conserve private land in the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys.

The show will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
