Redstone hosts 10th Annual Labor Day Weekend Art Show

Today through Monday, the Redstone Art Foundation celebrates the 10th anniversary of its Labor Day Weekend Art Show.The event, a highlight of the year for the Foundation, takes place on the lawn under the tents at the historic Redstone Inn. Each year, approximately 40 valley and invited guest artists feature their work. Mediums include oil, watercolor, mixed media, basket weaving, photography, fiber arts, sculpture, pencil drawings, pastels, pottery, wood carvings and more. All artwork is available for purchase.The show starts with an artist’s reception from 6-8 p.m. today. Meet the artists and enjoy complimentary food and wine, art, music and conversation.The exhibit reopens from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Labor Day.Sponsors of the Labor Day Weekend Art Show include the Redstone Art Foundation, American National Bank, The Historic Redstone Inn and the community volunteers, which makes this event so successful.Call chairman Jane Munsell at 704-9539 for more information.
