Reverse fire lottery – If you win, you still lose
Dear Editor,This sounds like a game we can ill afford to play. If we continue to allow this body of officials (COGCC & consenting County Commissioners), with an obvious conflict of interest, to play this game for us then we might get lucky enough to WIN. It only takes ONE fire caused by drilling activities, flaring, etc., to take the lives of our loved ones, friends, pets, livestock, investments in homes, irreplaceable personal memoirs, etc. It may not stop there. Entire towns have gone down because of fire: Rome 64 CE, Chicago 1871, Cripple Creek 1896, San Francisco 1906, Texas City 1947, etc. No matter the cause, we should not gamble by encouraging history to repeat itself. Let us vote and choose those that will represent us as they should. Thanks,Garland AndersonRifle
