RFSD board will pick superintendent April 3

Those wanting to find out who the next Roaring Fork School District Re-1 superintendent will be will have to wait a week. The RFSD board is scheduled to hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. on April 3 at the district administration building in Glenwood Springs. The board will go into executive session at 5:30 p.m. to make its selection, then announce the next superintendent around 6 p.m.There are three candidates vying for the position including RFSD Assistant Superintendent Judy Haptonstall, Citadel associate professor Delbert W. Jarman and Gilpin County Schools Superintendent Ken Ladouceur. The three candidates spent Monday and Tuesday touring the district and holding public forums during which they met parents and district staff and answered questions about their backgrounds and approach to school administration.
