RFTA moves Cowen Center bus stops

Staff ReportGlenwood Springs, CO Colorado

CARBONDALE, Colo. Due to construction by the Colorado Department of Transportation, the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority has temporarily moved the Cowen Center bus stops in Carbondale. CDOT is beginning work on a bridge project, and in order to do so must relocate utilities located directly under the Cowen Center bus stops. In order to minimize the impact on RFTA riders at the Cowen stops in Carbondale, the bus stops will be moved approximately 150 yards to the south (toward Carbondale) on both sides of Highway 133. There will be no disruption in service, and all buses will stay on their current schedules. The CDOT work on Highway 133 is expected to last about 10 days.
