Rhoda Post

Rhoda Post of Carbondale died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003. She was 70.

She was born May 24, 1933, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

She held a life long passion for art and art history, and owned and operated art galleries in New York and New Jersey.

A visitor to the Roaring Fork Valley since 1988, Ms. Post moved to Aspen in 1993. She moved to Carbondale in 1998.

She worked at the Christmas Shop and the Columbine Shop.

Recently, Ms. Post moved to Parker to enjoy retirement and her grandchildren.

Ms. Post is survived by daughters and son-in-law Marisa Post and Scott MacCracken of Aspen, and Robin Post of Parker; by a son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Shari Post of Suffern, N.Y.; and by grandchildren Andrew MacCracken, Hannah Fertig, Olivia Fertig, Evan Post and Stephanie Post.

A memorial service was held at the Red Butte Cemetery on Monday, Aug. 4.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Aspen Valley Hospital Hospice Room Program.
