RHS turns into school of rock on Monday

Rifle High School hosts a night of rock ‘n’ roll at 7 p.m. Monday.A mish-mash of musical acts all fall under the school’s rock ‘n’ roll umbrella. A group of girls wrote their own commercial jingle for a fictitious shampoo company. Other students have studied and practiced the works of John Lennon, Cyndi Lauper and other musicians. One group will even sing a choreographed version of “Joy to the World.”Monday’s variety show is a fundraiser for the RHS choir program. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. The show starts at 7 p.m. in the RHS auditorium.
