Richard Burry
Richard Burry of Carbondale died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale. He was 90.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Farnum-Holt Funeral Chapel, 405 W. 7th St. in Glenwood Springs, with the Rev. Doug Self officiating.
Mr. Burry was born Jan. 13, 1913, in Denver.
He married Viola Colvin in 1939. They moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1956.
Mr. Burry farmed and ranched until he was well into his 80s.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Burry, and by their daughter, Carolyn Turner.
He is survived by a son, Robert Burry of Carbondale; and by a granddaughter, Gabrielle Turner of Illinois.
