Richard (Dick) Pritchard passed away March 19 at E. Dene Moore Care Center in Rifle. He was 85. Dick was born in Parachute on Aug. 2, 1919, the middle of seven siblings. He married Carol Charlene on Feb. 14, 1948, in Los Angeles. Dick lived in Torrance, Calif. for 36 years, where he owned and operated a furniture refinishing business. He was very active in the Sportsman’s Club of Rifle and the Rifle Rendezvous. He also initiated “Meet the Candidates” nights in Rifle. He is survived by his wife, Charlene; son Douglas, of Texas; son Bradford, and daughters Vicki and Deidre, all of Southern California.He is sorely missed, but he remains in the hearts of those who loved him. May he have God’s graces. A memorial is planned at 11 a.m. on April 8, at United Methodist-Presbyterian Church, 200 E.
