Rickey E. Crampton

Rickey E. “Richie” Crampton, of Glenwood Springs, Colo., died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at his home. He was 49.

Mr. Crampton was born June 15, 1953, in East Lansing, Mich., to Doris Crampton. He spent his childhood in Michigan and graduated from high school in East Lansing.

He moved to Carbondale, Colo., in 1976 and to Glenwood Springs in 1993.

He married Felicia Trevor. They later divorced.

Mr. Crampton enjoyed golf and basketball. He was sweet, had a good sense of humor and was a loving father.

He is survived by two daughters, Erika Crampton and Kenna Crampton, both of Carbondale.

Cremation has taken place, and Mr. Crampton’s ashes will be scattered on Elephant Mountain above Avalanche Creek.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 21. The time and location will be announced later.
