GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Since 1998, Ride Glenwood’s free bus service has been searching for an identity of its own. Well, they’ve finally got it.

The Ride Glenwood buses have been modified with “wraps” that promote the free transit service as an easy way to help keep the community green, according to a press release from project manager Dawn Mullally Chase.

“The buses show off how great this town is, and Ride Glenwood Springs gives our community easy alternate transportation that is both free and green,” Chase said. “A lot of cities, especially this size, don’t have anything like this. We are really quite lucky.”

Each bus is fitted with five photographs, per side, highlighting activities Glenwood has to offer, such as hiking to Hanging Lake, rafting the Colorado River, snowboarding and swimming.

“With our new look, our bus system shows off all the wonderful, fun things folks to do here in Glenwood. It makes you proud to live here,” said Sabrina Harris, transportation manager for the city of Glenwood Springs.
