Rifle falls short vs. Palisade

Post Independent staff report
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado – Palisade turned a 7-all halftime tie into a 21-7 football win over visiting Rifle at Mesa State College’s Stocker Stadium on Thursday.

The loss dropped the Bears to 3-6 overall and to 2-5 in the 3A Western Slope League. They’ll close out the season next week at home against Eagle Valley.

Palisade’s regular season is over. At 6-4 overall and 6-2 in the 3A WSL, the Bulldogs still have postseason hopes. They’d likely have to take the wild-card route to the playoffs, though.
