Rifle man, 66, dies in wreck in Utah
Carl Edwin Bosworth, 66, of Rifle, died in a single-car accident on Interstate 70 near the Utah border Thursday.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, Bosworth was eastbound on I-70 in a 1993 Ford Explorer at 12:30 a.m. when his vehicle left the road at a sharp turn.
Bosworth’s vehicle struck a rock, left the ground, hit a hillside and rolled into a tree. Utah trooper Brian Redd said Bosworth might have fallen asleep at the wheel, or suffered a medical problem.
The crash occurred about two miles west of the Colorado border.
