Editor’s note: The Rifle Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Vehicle theft: Police are investigating a report of a vehicle stolen from the area of Birch Street and Morrow Drive, reported at 9 a.m. on Sept. 6.

Vehicle break-in: Police are investigating a report of a car break-in and theft of items in the car in the 1000 block of Airport Road, reported at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 6.

Warrant arrest and trespass: Police were called to the 900 block of West 24th Street at 10:50 a.m. on Sept. 7 on a report of a man sleeping in a vacant house. The man allegedly lied about his identity. Jonathan David Parker, 24, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of false reporting, trespass and two outstanding warrants. Parker was lodged in the county jail.

Warrant arrest: Police arrested a man who was at the Garfield County Courthouse in Rifle at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 7 on a warrant. Anthony Casey Spears, 28, of Grand Junction was lodged at the county jail.

Warrant arrest: Officers patrolling the 600 block of Whiteriver Avenue contacted Brandon Jensen, 25, of De Beque, at 1 p.m. on Sept. 7. He was wanted on a warrant and lodged at the county jail.

Burglary report: Police took a report at 7 p.m. on Sept. 7 of a burglary at a residence in the 300 block of West 25th Street.

Violation of restraining order: Police were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the 400 block of West 25th Street at 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 7. Christopher Anthony Santos, 38, of Hesperia, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of violating a court protective order.
