Rifle police report

Editor’s note: The Rifle Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Warrant arrest: Police contacted Summer Teter, 32, of Rifle, in the 300 block of McCarron Avenue at 12:29 p.m. on Dec. 29. Teter was subsequently arrested on two outstanding warrants. Teter posted bond and was released.

Criminal mischief: At 12:29 p.m. on Dec. 29, police took a report of a broken window in the 2400 block of West Avenue.

Theft: Police took a report at 6:54 p.m. on Dec. 29 that an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of West Second Street was entered and items were stolen.

Identity Theft: Police received a report of identity theft in the 200 block of East 18th Street at 2:24 p.m. on Dec. 30, in which a credit card was fraudulently used.

Warrant arrest: Police made a traffic stop at 11:10 p.m. on Dec. 31 in the 200 block of West Third Street. Cassi Boe, 21, was subsequently arrested on a municipal warrant.

Warrant arrest: Police contacted Robert Scott Higgins, 22, of Rifle, at 2:24 a.m. on Jan. 1 in the 900 block of Park Avenue. Higgins was arrested on a warrant and booked into the Garfield County Jail.

Trespass: Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Park Avenue at 5:55 p.m. on Jan. 1 for a report of a trespass, in which a residence was entered and items disturbed. However, it did not appear that items were missing. The case is under investigation.

Theft: At 7:35 a.m. on Jan. 2, police received a report that an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Airport Road was entered and items were stolen.

Stolen vehicle: Police received a report at 7:43 a.m. on Jan. 2 that a vehicle was stolen from a rest area in Rifle. The case is under investigation.

Domestic violence: Police are investigating a report of harassment and domestic violence that occurred at 11:04 a.m. on Jan. 2 in the 600 block of W. 29th Street.

Burglary: Police are investigating a residential burglary reported at 4:03 p.m. on Jan. 2 in the 600 block of Mesa Court.

Criminal mischief: Police received a report at 11:15 a.m. on Jan. 3 that a residential window was broken in the 900 block of Wamsley Way.

Vicious animal: Police were dispatched at 12:17 p.m. on Jan. 4 to the 100 block of East Third Street for a report of a vicious animal. Randall A. Ford, 60, of Rifle, was released on a summons for vicious animal.

Harassment: At 10:24 p.m. on Jan. 4, police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 100 block of June Avenue. Terry Neal Larose, 42, of Rifle, was issued a summons for harassment.
