Rifle woman hospitalized in shooting

A Rifle woman was sent to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction after a shooting Saturday afternoon.Nicolena Greer, 24, appears to be suffering from non-life-threatening serious bodily injury resulting from gunshot wounds, according to a Rifle Police Department press release.Rifle Police took Christopher Greer, 26, of Rifle, into custody for investigation of attempted homicide, first-degree assault and domestic violence. He was taken to Garfield County Jail, where he awaits arraignment on Monday.Police responded to a call at 4:14 p.m. at Rimrock Apartments.Nicolena Greer was originally treated at Grand River Medical Center.
