Rio Blanco judge won’t seek retention

Rio Blanco County Judge Gerald C. Viscardi announced Tuesday he will not seek retention for his seat. Viscardi, who has served as county judge since 1996, is set to step down on Jan. 11. As a part-time judge, Viscardi has been allowed to practice law as well as serve as judge. He is also town attorney for Meeker.The new judge for Rio Blanco County will be chosen by Gov.
