GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. The Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team raided the Roaring Fork Inn and Cabins in West Glenwood Springs early Friday evening.One individual was arrested during the execution of a warrant on charges that included possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Glenwood Springs Police Chief Terry Wilson.The suspect’s name was not released as of Friday night.The business that was the location of the arrest was formerly called the Terra Vista Motel.Garfield County Deputies and undercover TRIDENT agents with face masks carried a blue tub and black briefcase from a room near the west side of the lodge. Some wore blue surgical gloves.

A handcuffed man was put into a sheriff’s vehicle and driven from the scene. Some children were crying near the room that had been raided. Law enforcement appeared to leave the scene around 8:30 p.m.Susan Thomas, manager of the motel, said she couldn’t talk about what was going on at the owner’s request. She said the owner was out of town and wouldn’t provide a phone number.Anna Mae Cline, a certified nurse assistant and two-year resident of the cabins, didn’t think the cabins were unsafe.She said the Terra Vista Motel had a really bad name, but things seemed to improve with new management and she didn’t think people there were dangerous to live with.”I got to know most of them,” she said. “They’re great people. It’s just that one bad apple makes the entire batch bad. But it’s a safe place. … I think the worst thing we have here is bears.”
