Robert Joseph Maddalone
Robert Joseph Maddalone of Parachute, formerly of Glenwood Springs, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, in Grand Junction. He was 53.He was born Dec. 12, 1949, in Glenwood Springs to Mary P. Sandoval and Joseph A. Maddalone. He grew up in Glenwood Springs and attended Glenwood Springs High School.He worked as a track patrolman for the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad.He was married to Annette Maddalone. They were later divorced.He later married Rose Maddalone. They were divorced, and she preceded him in death.Mr. Maddalone enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, traveling and animals. He was an avid sports fan, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.He lived in Glenwood Springs his entire life, until moving to Parachute eight years ago.He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Maddalone; and by a sister, Evelyn Maddalone.Mr. Maddalone is survived by a son, Chad Maddalone of Glenwood Springs; by daughters and son-in-law Chelly and Vittorio Lagua of Salt Lake City, and Christy Parks of Denver; by brother and sister-in-law George and Brenda Maddalone of Rifle; by a sister, Gloria Bianco of Grand Junction; by a brother-in-law, Richard Alary of Glenwood Springs; by grandchildren Felicia, Patrick and Sarah; by several nieces and nephews; and by special friends Denise Tuttle and Don Herrera.Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held, on Mr. Maddalone’s request. His ashes will spread according to his wishes.Martin Mortuary of Grand Junction is in charge of arrangements.Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Robert Maddalone, c/o George Maddalone, 1512 Beech St., Rifle, CO 81650.
