Robert Lee Eccher
Robert Lee Eccher of LaPine, Ore., a former resident of Glenwood Springs, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003. He was 67.
He was born June 26, 1935, in Silt to William and Domenica Eccher.
He married Betty Ukele in 1956 in Silt. They had three children together. They were divorced in 1980.
Mr. Eccher lived in Glenwood Springs for 25 years before moving to Denver. He later moved to LaPine, Ore.
He married Michele Kelly in 1987 in Golden.
Mr. Eccher worked as a fleet automobile sales representative.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed all sports, particularly football, baseball, basketball, golf and snowmobiling, and he was an avid Denver Broncos fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by a sister and by a son. Mr. Eccher is survived by his wife, Michele Eccher of LaPine, Ore.; by a son, Rick Eccher of Grand Junction; by a daughter, Rhonda Coiner of LaPine, Ore.; by stepsons Scott Story of Sugar Hill, Ga., and Steven Storey of San Diego; by a stepdaughter, Jennifer Briggle of Arvada; by brothers Bill Eccher of Highlands Ranch, Joe Eccher of Las Vegas, and Paul Eccher of Linden, Tenn.; by a sister, Betty Racz of Las Vegas; and by four grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.
