Robert McFarland Richmond

Robert McFarland Richmond, a Denver native, passed away Sept. 19, 2006. A descendant of early Park County pioneers, Robert was born Dec. 27, 1936, to Charles A. and Lorraine (McFarland) Richmond. He and his family lived in Denver, Seattle, Sioux Falls and Sioux City before moving to Glenwood Springs, where he graduated from Garfield County High School in 1955. After graduating from Colorado State University in 1960 with a business degree, he worked for Phillips Petroleum for a number of years. He then became a real estate broker and was associated with a few commercial real estate firms in Denver prior to establishing Robert M. Richmond Commercial Real Estate Co. He was active in the business until his death. He married JoAnn (Morgan) Richmond in Denver in 1967.Robert is survived by his wife; daughters Meredith Richmond of Denver and Robin Richmond of Boulder; sister Judy Richmond of Littleton; brother Charles Allen Richmond Jr., of Denver; grandson Quinlan McFarland Ridgeway; and numerous nieces and nephews. His sister Sharon Lavely preceded him in death. Arrangements are pending.
