Roberta "Bobby" Ruth Smith

Roberta “Bobby” Ruth Smith, of Tucson, Ariz., died of natural causes in Glenwood Springs, Colo., on May 16, 2002. She was 78.

Ms. Smith was born May 8, 1924, in Sheridan, Wyo., to Rueben Barkey and Vivian Marie Church.

No matter where she lived, Tucson was always her home of choice. Some of her greatest enjoyments there were her many friends, her time as captain of the Mint Bar Dart Team and her participation with the Jaycettes.

She touched many lives in many different ways. She truly was an angel sent to help others and did her best to help anyone in any way she could.

Ms. Smith is survived by: daughters Linda Horrell, of California, and Rebecca Maloney, of Colorado; sisters Marjorie Anderson, of Wyoming, and Patricia Hoffman, of Colorado; brothers John Barkey, of Colorado, and Ralph Barkey, of California; grandchildren Cari Wegner, Bret David, and Regina and Adriane Smith Malone; great-grandchildren Christiane Maloney and Maya Linda Hall; numerous nieces and nephews; and cousin Dorothy Wenckus, of Wyoming, and her sons Jeff and Ted.
