RoFIntUG board meeting tonight

Staff Report

GLENWOOD SPRINGS ” The Roaring Fork Internet Users Group welcomes potential board members to its monthly board meeting at 6 p.m. tonight at the Glenwood Springs Community Center.

The meeting will allow all potential board members to introduce themselves and to ask questions of the current board.

According to board president Donni Cochran, a new nine-member board will soon be elected.

No other official RoFIntUG business is on tonight’s agenda.

In recent weeks, the nonprofit Internet service provider’s board has stirred controversy by considering whether to fold the organization or sell out to another provider.

“The board doesn’t really want to do anything so we don’t tie the hands of the new board,” Cochran said Monday.

Potential RoFIntUG Board members can be nominated until 8:30 a.m. Friday.
