Roland "Andy" Gerard

Roland “Andy” Gerard of Gypsum died Friday, June 6, 2003, at his home. He was 70.

He was born July 21, 1932, in Gypsum to Ora Carr and Lloyd A. Gerard.

He joined the U.S. Army and served in Korea.



He married Elizabeth Gotshall on Nov. 12, 1955, in New Mexico. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2003.

Mr. Gerard was a lifetime resident of Eagle County, where he worked as a judge.



He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mike Gerard.

Mr. Gerard is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George and Danna Gerard; by daughters and sons-in-law Jackie and Charlie Cooper, and Arlene and Gerald Sandburg; and by brothers Keith Gerard and Claude Gerard, all of Gypsum.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, at Gypsum United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Hanson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gypsum United Methodist Church.
