Ronald L. Morford Sr.

Ronald L. Morford Sr. of Silt died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. He was 62.

He was born June 26, 1940, to Urina Mae Smith and Arthur Lee Morford.

He married Bonnie Jean Sainsbury on July 27, 1957, in Bellflower, Calif. She survives.

A master diesel mechanic, Mr. Morford was a member of quarter horse and paint horse associations. He loved to fish and was known as an excellent cook.

Mr. Morford is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Morford; by daughters and sons-in-law Debbie Morford of Siloam Springs, Ark., Brenda Diane and Ron Jones of Kansas, Okla., Lily and Todd Farr of Parachute, Jeree Russell of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Sabrina King of Grand Junction; by a son, Ronald Lee Morford, Jr. of Rifle; by six sisters, three brothers, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 8, at the Rifle Ward’s Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Cochran Memorial Chapel of Meeker was in charge of arrangements.
