Ronald L. ‘Taco’ Trujillo, Sr.

Ronald Trujillo, Sr., longtime resident of New Castle, passed away at the age of 57 on April 10, 2011.”Taco” was best known in the valley as an employee of Mr. T’s and Talbott Enterprises.It would be no surprise to see him scoping out vehicles in search of a dog to take their picture, make a friend and give them a goody.He was also known for his award winning green chile, his talent of country western dancing, his Scooter Hotrod and his lifelong passion and capabilities of being a mechanic. His love for helping others made him an avid volunteer of the Apple Tree Fire Department; Burning Mountain Fire District for several years.He loved his family and all of his friends; he loved to laugh; he had countless stories to tell; he touched many lives and will be sorely missed.He is survived by his son, Ronald “R.J.” (Amanda) Trujillo of Cecilia, Ky.; grandpuppies Jake, Hemi, Roxy and Angel; his daughter, Heather (Jason) Bleak of Rifle; grandson, Braedy Bleak; grand puppies, Bianca and Jaed; sister, Olivia (Leonides) Galan of Pueblo; and brothers, Frank Trujillo of Pueblo & Robert Sigala; spouse, Mary Trujillo (Printy); former wife Helen Taylor (Dadd); multiple nieces, nephews, his puppies Raider and Keno and many friends.Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Rocky Mountain Baptist Church.In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Friends of the Rifle Animal Shelter, PO Box 1375, Rifle, CO 81650.
